Jannik Sinner has expanded his commercial and fan engagement footprint by launching an exclusive onboard cruise experience with Explora Journeys, placing a new lifestyle project at the centre of his Roland Garros build-up. The world No. 1, who arrives in Paris as the overwhelming favourite for the 2026 French Open, will join guests aboard EXPLORA III for a special journey from Genoa to Marseille on July 24–25.
The announcement positions Sinner not only as a dominant force on court but also as a global ambassador for the luxury travel brand. Reservations for the “Prelude Journey” are already open, allowing selected guests to share a structured programme of activities with the Italian player and his performance team.
The timing comes during a period of exceptional sporting form, with Sinner arriving at Roland Garros after extending one of the strongest clay-court runs in recent ATP history. His commercial expansion, however, now runs parallel to his pursuit of a first French Open title.
For Sinner, the Paris campaign also carries historical weight after last year’s dramatic five-set final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz, a match that remains one of the defining encounters of modern Grand Slam tennis.

Cruise experience with Sinner

The core of the announcement is an immersive onboard programme designed around direct interaction with Sinner. According to Explora Journeys, guests will have access to structured sessions that include Q&A events, training interaction, and curated experiences led by the player and his team.
“Jannik will host an intimate Q&A session and offer bespoke coaching sessions on the ship’s padel court, together with his performance team,” the website states. "The cruise will also introduce a wellness concept developed with Sinner, integrating physical performance principles into a travel environment, positioning the partnership at the intersection of sport science, lifestyle branding, and luxury tourism.
The initiative extends beyond standard ambassador activity, incorporating sport-specific engagement on board the ship. “Guests will also be offered a first look at In Balance: A Jannik Sinner Ocean Wellness Programme, developed by Jannik and his team specifically for Explora Journeys.”
The highlight of his time onboard will be a charity gala dinner in support of the Jannik Sinner Foundation and the MSC Foundation, underscoring a shared commitment to youth development and long-term positive impact.

Commercial expansion and Roland Garros context

The cruise announcement arrives as Sinner continues a historically dominant stretch on clay. He enters Roland Garros after a 29-match winning streak and a 17–0 record on clay this season, having won Monte-Carlo, Madrid and Rome consecutively.
His Masters 1000 dominance has also reached record levels, with six consecutive titles and 34 straight match wins in the category. This run places him among the most statistically dominant players in the modern ATP era and reinforces his status as the main favourite in Paris.
The absence of Carlos Alcaraz, who is not competing due to injury, further strengthens Sinner’s position heading into the draw. The Spaniard defeated him in last year’s final after a five-hour, 29-minute match, the longest in Roland Garros history, after Sinner had held match points.
“I think it’s a very special tournament for me, and it has been increasingly better year after year, and last year we were very close,” Sinner said in Paris.
The Italian now begins his campaign against French wildcard Clément Tabur on May 25, with expectations extending beyond a deep run toward a potential career-defining milestone: completing the only missing piece of a career Grand Slam.
