The evening session at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) featured interesting matches where the favorites secured victories.
The first match of the evening session of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) featured a good battle. It was the Frenchman who started off better on his home soil. This event has an interesting format and early on it was the Frenchman who was better. He won the 1st set 17-15. From then on it was all Lopez. The Spaniard played much better especially on his own serve and won the next three sets 22-11 9-7 24-14.
The final match of the day largely went as expected. Stefanos Tsitsipas came out stronger from the start and won the 1st set with 17-12. In the 2nd set, Stefanos continue to dominate with great baseline play and strong serving. Popyrin had no answer to Stefanos furious play which resulted in an easy 20-9 2nd set loss. The 3rd set didn’t bring anything different as Stefanos continue to dominate while Popyrin looked out of place. It ended with 19-8 in the Greek’s favor. The final set was the best Popyrin played and he won it but it didn’t matter much as he lost the match 3-1.
