The line-up seems set for the 21st Annual Desert Smash event, which is scheduled to run on March 3-4, 2025, just ahead of Indian Wells.
An annual tradition, the Desert Smash sees tennis and Hollywood collide prior to the mixed ATP Masters/WTA 1000 tournament. The glamorous event is often used to raise funds for charity, and features top-ranked players competing in exhibition matches.
Two-time Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka has been confirmed for the celebratory event, and the World No.1 will be eager to relieve some stress following some disappointing appearances in Doha and Dubai. Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka and Tunisian star Ons Jabeur are also scheduled for the event. Reigning Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova was forced to withdraw, as the Czech star failed to recover from a lingering back injury.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios will be sure to bring the entertainment and laughs, as the former Wimbledon runner-up will be making his return to the courts after a first round exit at the Australian Open. World No.2 Alexander Zverev is scheduled to make an appearance, as well as Danish star Holger Rune and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. The legendary Bryan brothers will also be in attendance.
Pop icon Katy Perry will be representing Hollywood, with Grammy-nominated musician Pink set to host the event.
