Roger Federer surprised two young Italian tennis players when he joined them on the rooftop where they previously shot the viral video.
During the Coronavirus lockdown, 13-years-old Vittoria and 11-years-old Carola have decided to play tennis on the rooftop of their houses. The video of the two Italian youngsters went viral over social media and also Roger Federer noticed it.
A few weeks later, the Swiss joined the girls on the rooftop and played a couple of rallies with them. Then, he invited them for lunch and gave them one more surprise after he left. Federer joined forces with Rafael Nadal again and he invited Vittoria and Carola for a summer camp in the Rafa Nadal Academy.
“Personally for me, that was a very special moment in my career as a tennis player,” Federer said. “To surprise a fan, or children, like I was able to with Carola and Vittoria today. It was great. I have played in many cool places around the world. But this is definitely up there for me as a special experience,” Federer said. “We showed that we can play anywhere and have fun with it. I had the best time, honestly.”
