Jelena Ostapenko reached 2nd final in a row, after playing the final previous week in Linz, and will be facing Julia Goerges in Luxembourg.

Ostapenko plays in a good form at the moment reaching 2 finals in 2 weeks. In the semifinals she defeated eight-seeded Anna Blinkova 3-6, 6-3 and 6-2. After the match she said:
“I think she started the match pretty well, and I was a little bit slow at the beginning. I didn’t really get the rhythm,” Ostapenko explained in her post-match press conference.
“After I just felt my game more and I was making not so many unforced errors like in the first set, I was missing a lot. I didn’t expect her probably to play this well in the first set.”
“I feel really good on court,” Ostapenko said. “It doesn’t really feel like it’s the end of the season and you are supposed to be tired. Honestly, even in the matches that I played three sets I felt really fresh. I felt like I can play and play and play more.”
"I know both of them, though actually I’ve never played against Julia,” Ostapenko assessed.
Goerges defeated 3rd seeded Rybakina 6-3 and 6-4 to reach the finals as a second seeded player. Ostapenko and Goerges never met on the WTA circuit and Goerges spoke also about that.
“It was my best match of all week,” Goerges told reporters after the match. “Good serve, good variation and the speed was good.
“I was able to break the rhythm of my opponent. I did a good job with my serve and took my chances, being aggressive when I needed to be.”
“[Here there is a] very good atmosphere,” Goerges said. “I was feeling the support of all the fans, and I feel very welcome.
“Tomorrow I will have to be on from the first minute, and I'm looking forward to it!"
