Men's Wimbledon 2024 draw completed: the shockwave of the projected quarter-finals

The draw has now been completed for 2024 Wimbledon which will begin on July 1 on the lush green courts of SW19 headed up on the men's side by Jannik Sinner, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic. But what are the projected Quarter-Finals?
As ever it is very much dependent on these players actually winning their matches of course. But in a dream scenario, it is how it would play out at least in terms of seeding. For some fans, it might not be the dream.
In the top h`alf are the two best ties of all realistically with Jannik Sinner facing off against Daniil Medvedev if all goes well. The Italian could likely be seen as favourite for the title given his recent form and being top seed. He claimed Halle which does have its own curse, but Sinner has excelled on grass during his one foray. Medvedev reached the second round of Halle losing to Zhizhen Zhang. So he does have wins under his belt but not a myriad of them.
For reference though, he did reach the semi-finals last year losing out to Alcaraz at Wimbledon so can definitely play on grass. Sinner himself was easily beaten by Novak Djokovic last year. But has since become a different player entirely and has become the all conquering World No.1 who is now a Grand Slam champion. Perhaps not a thought this time last year.
On the other hand, Alcaraz who is defending champion could face Casper Ruud. Albeit out of the mooted Quarter-Finals, it is least likely to happen. The Spaniard himself has a fairly good run and wouldn't meet Novak Djokovic for instance until the final. But it is unlikely to happen due to Ruud.
He is well known for disliking grass and would rather play golf on it. The only surface he has yet to crack, he spent most of last summer following The Weeknd round on his European Tour and after his defeat could get in another concert on his tour. He said he is going to take it more seriously this year but whether he does remains to be seen. Alcaraz lost to Draper in Queen's albeit after partying for the week in Ibiza so he can be forgiven realistically for not being in the best form.
In the other half, Alexander Zverev who perhaps could be favoured to reach back-to-back Grand Slam finals could face Andrey Rublev and he sits in the Novak Djokovic quarter which could get blown wide open if he doesn't play or goes out early.
Novak Djokovic will be one of the favourites to seal the title despite wearing a knee brace and having a meniscus tear. But if anybody could win a title with a knee injury, it would be the Serbian. He has a pretty good start to his tournament too and could face Hubert Hurkacz realistically in his main test. The Pole is good on grass, but could he take advantage of a less than 100% Djokovic. Time will tell, also it will be interesting to see whether any of these Quarter-Finals actually happen.
In reality, Sinner or Alcaraz could face Djokovic or Zverev really. But there is likely more reliance on that first half being right than the second on current form and the way the draw pans out.
