The stars of the
ATP will have to transition back to clay after the grass season concludes at
Wimbledon, with several tennis players traveling to Gstaad, Switzerland for the
Swiss Open Gstaad tournament.
An ATP 250 event, the Swiss Open Gstaad is scheduled to run from July 15-21, 2024. Swiss legend Roger Federer was presented a cow during a homecoming ceremony at the 2003 edition of the event, following the national hero's triumph at Wimbledon that year. The tournament will see 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams compete for their respective titles.
De Minaur looking to resume hot streak
Australian tennis star Ale De Minaur is the top seed at the event, and the World No.7 will look to ride his momentum this summer onto the clay courts of Gstaad. After an impressive quarterfinal showing at Roland Garros, the Aussie star lifted the Libema Open title in dominant fashion. De Minaur will hope to carry his form into Wimbledon, before returning to the clay courts at Gstaad.
Polish big-hitter
Hubert Hurkacz is also scheduled to participate at the event, alongside former World No.3
Stefanos Tsitsipas. Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime will also be competing for the title, alongside Swiss veteran and local favorite Stan Wawrinka. Below is the list of entrants.
