Chris Evert anticipates Iga Swiatek beating her record at the French Open with double digit prediction

Chris Evert has won Roland Garros a record seven times and jokes that she is worried every time she goes to sleep at night about Iga Swiatek usurping her record tally after reaching four.
Swiatek is only just 23 and has already levelled up with Justine Henin and joined her in also winning the title three times in a row. She has emerged as the Queen of Clay with Steffi Graf's six titles being the next milestone to hit. Evert sits on seven and was there to present the trophies in a special surprise organised by Martina Navratilova.
It was a surprise gesture to honour the 50th anniversary of Evert's first Roland Garros title as per Jon Wertheim. Before the final started, Evert told Eurosport that Swiatek's French Open dominance was going to make her lose sleep jokingly.
Albeit she sees the Pole hitting double digits. This is despite Swiatek's own estimations. She said after she thrashed Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1 that she has already achieved more than she ever expected and that she isn't setting her sights on Evert's record in a pretty modest estimation of her own achievements thus far.
"Yeah, I think about it (Swiatek surpassing her French Open title haul) everyday when I day put my head on the pillow, I'm worried about Iga. No, I think Iga will end up with double digits, not only beating my seven," Evert said to Eurosport whilst also holding a similar view that she certainly has time on her side.
"I'm confident right now that she's going to get four. That's only three away from mine, and she's only 23," Evert added.
"She’s going to be in for the long haul, and I told her - you’ve won three French Opens, I won seven. You’re only 22, you’re going to go past that. You can go to eight, nine, 10. But she’s got to pace herself and make sure she’s not injured," Evert also told AP.

- It's been an ongoing issue for too long now. Even though it's not our business to know the details... it's worrisome; disconcerting even. "Gastrointestinal" covers many things. My concern, as an Ulcerative Colitis patient since 1976, is that she has some form of Colitis. I recognize reactions and symptoms. If so, perhaps knowing this others would be encouraged by her own courage in plowing forth while dealing.
