Alexander Zverev will have the lowest ranking in five years at the end of this year as he missed much of the season due to an injury.
Alexander Zverev was playing one of his better seasons when he injured his ankle at Roland Garros. It was a terrible injury that damaged it quite a bit requiring surgery that would leave him out for several months. When he finally made his return to the courts in autumn, Zverev experienced pain and had to delay his return to December of this year.
That inactivity will have him ranked the lowest he's been ranked in the last five years. He's sitting at number 12 at the moment and he will drop further when the ATP Finals points drop as the German won the event last year.
He will most likely finish out of the top 20 which will be his lowest year-end rank in a long time.
