Collins dismissed for remainder of 2020 World Team Tennis season due to breaking COVID-19 protocols

Danielle Collins, who played for Orlando Storm, broke the World Team Tennis COVID-19 protocols and was therefore dismissed for the remainder of the season.

Danielle Collins was helping the Orlando Storm on their way to glory at the World Team Tennis. The 26-years-old American played 5 matches in singles and she defeated only Sloane Stephens. However, she was a part of the strong team which will now need to continue without her.
Collins left The Greenbrier Resort and the state of West Virginia what violates the World Team Tennis COVID-19 protocols. Therefore, she was dismissed for the remainder of this season. Statement from World Team Tennis CEO, Carlos Silva says:
"We have dismissed Danielle Collins (Orlando Storm) for the remainder of the 2020 World Team Tennis season after breaking our COVID-19 protocols and leaving The Greenbrier Resort and the state of West Virginia. The protocols have been put in place and communicated numerous times to protect the health and safety of our players, coaches and staff which are of utmost importance to World Team Tennis."
