The 2022 United Cup is a mixed event that will continue the legacy of the now-defunct Hopman Cup with both ATP and WTA players competing together.
The Hopman Cup was a hugely popular event among tennis fans and the United Cup has a chance to be as well. It's played as a team competition with countries going up against each other and the first edition will have a pretty great lineup of players playing.
The participation fees for players is mainly decided on the rank they have the higher ranks earn more prize money for participation than other players. Those ranked in the top 10 will get 200.000 with 11-20 getting 100.000, 21-30 getting 60.000 and those ranked lower even less.
Each team will also get a bonus for every win with again players not getting the same amount. The best-ranked players in each team will get the most with the second-best-ranked player getting less and so forth. Some big names attending the event will be Fritz, Swiatek, Nadal and more.
