"Absolute joke" says John McEnroe on Novak Djokovic Australian Open fiasco

Like many, John McEnroe did not like what went down in Melbourne over the past 12 days with the American former tennis player calling it a joke.

Speaking to ESPN on the matter, McEnroe could not express his feeling any other way than to rant on the situation and he went off:

"Listen I’ve been part of some chaotic scenes in Australia. But what’s gone on the last 12 days tops everything. That is total and utter chaos. Absolute joke what’s gone on the last 12 days. I actually texted Novak during this. It’s total BS.”

McEnroe further said:

“Look, if he decided not to have a vaccine, and the Australian authorities say to him “you cannot go down there, unless you’re vaccinated, end of story,” it’s black and white. [From there] he decides whether or not he wants to do it. He’s got very strong beliefs, he’s entitled to those beliefs.”
