Two murals of Del Potro and Agassi were painted in Argentina's capital of Buenos Aires to honour the ties between Argentine and the US.
The artwork was created by Martin Ron, an Argentinian street artist based in Buenos Aires. It's meant to symbolize and strengthen the ties between the United States and Argentine. Del Potro and Agassi were chosen due to their tennis legacy and popularity and influence in their respective countries.
It was commissioned by Noah Bryson Mamet who was the US Ambassador in Argentina from 2015 to 2017. The new Ambassador in the country, Marc Stanley confirmed they will continue to combine art and sport six years after the first of such murals debuted.
He tweeted:
"Ambassador Mamet wanted to celebrate the bilateral relationship through tennis and commissioned famed muralist, Martín Ron, to create these depicting André Agassi and Juan Martín del Potro. We are about to bring it to a whole other dimension. Stay tuned!"
