Andrea Petkovic predicted that Novak Djokovic will focus on two tournaments next season: the Australian Open and Wimbledon. The former German tennis player suggested that Nole could achieve his 25th Grand Slam title before retiring.

Djokovic holds the record for the most major titles in men’s tennis history, with 24 – surpassing Rafael Nadal's 22 and Roger Federer’s 20. However, he remains tied with Margaret Court, who also won 24 Grand Slam titles, although 13 of those came before the Open Era.

Nonetheless, if Djokovic were to secure his 25th title, he would solidify his position above any other tennis player so far. On a recent episode of The Rennae Stubbs Tennis Podcast, former world No. 9 Andrea Petkovic shared her expectations for Nole in 2025.

"My prediction for Novak next year is that... he will not give a flying F about any of the tournaments except the Australian Open and Wimbledon," Petkovic said. "And he will make a huge push with everything he still has left in that cute 40-year-old body of his. He will put everything into winning one of these, try to get to 25, and then get out."

Former Serena Williams coach Rennae Stubbs responded during the same podcast, saying it is realistic to think Djokovic could win the Australian Open in the coming weeks. "Back to him winning the Australian Open. Obviously, we know that's the tournament where he plays his best tennis," Stubbs said. "He's won that 10 times, which is outrageous! The fact that he's won 10 Australian Opens is just mind-boggling. Can he win 11?"

Djokovic will kick off the season in a week at the Brisbane International, where he will also team up with Nick Kyrgios to play doubles. Once his participation concludes, he will travel to Melbourne to fine-tune the final details ahead of the Australian Open, a tournament he has won 10 times but where he was eliminated in the 2024 semifinals by Jannik Sinner.
