The British player has a clear goal of making it into the top 32 by the end of the year and he's going to focus on two events to do so.
Murray is currently ranked outside of the top 50 but he has a clear goal of making it to number 32 by the end of the year in order to position himself better for the Australian Open. To accomplish that, he will focus on the Paris Masters and Swiss indoors as the two events that offer the most point until the end of the year.
He was scheduled to appear at the Antwerp Open where he played the last ear as well but elected not to play after somewhat of a successful run in Gijon where he reached the quarterfinal. The event is an ATP 250 event and that clearly impacted Murray's decision as he is better served if he focuses his time and energy on the 500 event in Switzerland and the 1000 event in France.
