Andy Murray surprised many by walking back his initial claim that he would skip the clay season entirely by taking a Madrid Open wild card.
He played well at the event winning a few matches and losing in the 3rd round but it seems like he won't be playing any more clay events. During that time he hinted at playing in Rome but decided against it and now it's apparent that he won't play in Paris either. Today Murray officially pulled out of the entry list meaning that he most likely won't play until the grass season.
He did not publicly speak on the decision yet.
