Wimbledon has announced the names of players who will receive wild card entries into the event and Andy Murray is one of them.
The former British number one and Wimbledon champion returned to tennis yesterday in a winning effort against Benoit Paire. His return to Wimbledon became official today as he received a wild card entry into the event. The event announced some of the names of players that will receive wild card entries.
On the ATP side of things, Andy Murray is leading the list that includes players like Alcaraz, Broady, Clarke, Draper. There are 3 more wild card spots into the event, but they will not be announced yet.
British players dominate the list of recipients with Boulter, Burrage, Dart, Jones and Sharan all receiving wild cards on the WTA side. Former champion Venus Williams is another player that received a wild card entry into the event. Two spots haven't been filled as well and will be announced later on.
The 3rd Grand Slam of the season will kick off on June 28th and will run for two weeks finishing on July 11th. Be sure to check out the updated entry lists for the event to be up to date on which players are attending the event.
