The British player usually has a longstanding tradition of playing the Queen's Club event in London ahead of Wimbledon and that tradition won't be broken. He will expand on it however adding the MercedesCup in the week before to his schedule. It's an interesting move by Murray who usually avoids straining himself too much ahead of Wimbledon but it seems the confidence in his health is growing.
The news was shared by the official Twitter page of the event with Murray saying:
"I'm always looking forward to the grass-court season, so I'll start my preparations for it a little earlier than usual next year. I will be playing on grass in Stuttgart for the first time and I am really looking forward to this new experience."
The event is a very popular one featuring winners like Nadal, Thiem, Federer, and Cilic among others in the past. Cilic was teh champion in 2021 besting Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final.
