Tennis returns to Kazakhstan as part of the new provisional schedule with the premiere edition of the Astana Open held in Nur-Sultan with French duo Paire and Mannarino leading the field.
The 2020 ATP provisional calendar has been enriched by four events and of them is the Astana Open which will be held for the first time in 2020 from the 26th of October till the 1st of November. While tennis is no stranger in Kazakhstan first-tier events are rarely held there but this year will be different. The field is not an enticing one but there still will be quality player's playing here.
The field is headlined by French duo Benoit Paire and Adrian Mannarino. Joining them will be several capable tennis players such as John Millman, Miomir Kecmanovic and Tennys Sandgren. To prove that Kazakhstan is popular with French players, Richard Gasquet and Gilles Simon will also be taking part.
And of course, there will be the native Kazakhstani player Alexander Bublik defending the honour of the country on the court.
