The 2024
Almaty Open will run from October 14-20, with the city of Astana, Kazakhstan hosting the newest permanent member of the ATP calendar with the
prize money set.
An ATP 250 event and formerly known as the Astana Open, it will feature $1,036,700 in prize money with $157,695 going to the winner. The runner-up claims $91.985 and semi-finalists are set for $54,075. It goes all the way down to $11,120 for first round losers.
Being an ATP 250, it will include 250 points for the victor and 165 points for the runner-up with 25 points for losing in the second round.
Tiafoe, Rublev set to compete in Astana
In terms of players involved in Almaty, Frances Tiafoe is top seed. He recently reached the semi-finals of the US Open again and will aim for another title to end the year.
Alejandro Tabilo has been one of the breakthrough stars of 2024 and will take to the court in Almaty as World No.19. Tomas Machac also comes off a superb week in Shanghai where he reached the semi-finals only losing to Jannik Sinner. While Alexander Shevchenko leads the home charge in terms of Kazakh players.
