ATP stars gave some bold predictions in a video that appeared
on social media platform X — previously known as Twitter. Seven young tennis
stars appeared in a video where they made some interesting predictions about their
fellow players.
America’s young sensation Ben Shelton predicted that young
Frenchman Arthur Fils will going to win a ‘major title’. “Arthur Fils is going
to win a major title,” he said. “Not like a big title. I am not making a bold
prediction that he is going to win a Grand Slam but I think he is going to win
a title bigger than [ATP] 250 this year.”
Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime expressed optimism that his ‘good
friend’ Denis Shapovalov will return to the top-10 this year. “I would like to
see my good friend Dennis back in the top 10,” he said.
America’s Christopher Eubanks also went on to predict that his
fellow countryman Shelton to finish in the top 10 this year. “Ben Shelton will
be inside the top 10,” he said.
Young French player Arthur Cazaux also backed Fils to finished
the season close to the top 10 in the ATP ranking. “I think may be Arthur Fils
may be close to the top 10 this year,” said the 21-year-old.
