Carlos Alcaraz parties with iShowSpeed in viral video following Spain's World Cup triumph

The celebrations were in full flow for Spain following their World Cup triumph over in the USA. They defeated Argentina 1-0 following a late goal in extra time, something passionately celebrated by Carlos Alcaraz who enjoyed an unlikely linkup with streamer iShowSpeed on the dance floor.

Alcaraz was very much involved in proceedings of the World Cup. He had the honour of bringing the coveted trophy on the pitch before the match commenced. He would then retreat to the stands to see his country produce a dominant performance against Lionel Messi and his team.

He was certainly in a party mood following watching his country lift the World Cup for the second time, intertwining with his continuous spell away from the court thanks to a painful wrist injury suffered all the way back in April.

He has made the most of his time away from court, travelling over to North America in tangent with the North American hardcourt swing beginning, possibly where the 23-year-old will return to the court with titles to defend in Cincinnati and New York, the big one being the US Open.

Tennis was most certainly not on the mind of Alcaraz following the football. He had been in esteemed company all day, posting an Instagram post with the likes of musicians Travis Scott and Drake. Later on, it was a Michael Jackson song 'Beat It' that got him moving on the dance floor.

A video was posted online showing streamer Speed standing next to the seven-time Grand Slam champion at Justin Beiber's World Cup after-party. The passion of the American caught the eye of Alcaraz while the video got a lot of traction online, going viral with many people amazed and stunned by the two being together having come from completely different career backgrounds.

Alcaraz may be sticking around in North America for a bit more time. From next week, the spotlight will be firmly on this part of the world. The question is when Alcaraz will return to action.

He ruled out participating at the Canadian Open, meaning that he will definitely not feature in the DC Open or Los Cabos Open. The title defence at the Cincinnati Open may seem like a more realistic place to get back onto court before the US Open.

A grand total of 3000 points is on the line with another ranking drop possibly on the cards. He was surpassed as world number two thanks to the incredible form of Alexander Zverev in recent times. Depending on how the other contenders do in this time, along with Alcaraz obviously, then we could see the former world number one plummet even further thanks to this spell on the sidelines.

Later in the year, he has the Japan Open title to defend along with a run to the final of the ATP Finals where he lost to Jannik Sinner in the final. Time will tell how he performs on court and whether he can get back up to speed quickly to challenge the rampant Sinner for the biggest titles in the world once more.
