Carlos Alcaraz is back to playing tennis after successfully recovering from an injury that forced him to end his US Open run early.
The Spanish player dazzled everybody at the US Open by winning several matches with his victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas being the most notable one. Alcaraz demonstrated tremendous skill on the tennis court showcasing his enourmous talent to everybody. His run was cut short after an injury forced him to retire in the quarterfinals but he is now receovered and playing tenins.
Before taking part in any event, Alcaraz staged an exhibition event in Alicante where participants included other tennis players with one of them being former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero. The former world number one is also the coach of Alcaraz and the squared off in the final. As expected it was the much younger Alcaraz who got the better of his coach winning 6-3 6-1.
They shared a warm embrace after the match as Alcaraz looks to continue building up his points total for the rest of the year. He is expected to officially return to tennis at the Indian Wells Masters next week.
