Coco ➡️ Manic Monday 17-year-old @CocoGauff is at her brilliant best in beating Kaja Juvan on Centre Court - Angelique Kerber waits in the fourth round #Wimbledon
Coco Gauff stepped onto the court with a chance to reach the 2nd week of Wimbledon and she did not disappoint. She served very well initially which made it very hard to break her. Thanks to that and her great shot-making she jumped out to a 4-0 lead and it seemed like she would cruise against Juvan.
However, the Slovenian player was able to break her twice in the next few games to make the score a bit more respectable but Gauff still won the et with 6-3. Juvan committed many mistakes at 13 and that did not help her.
In the 2nd set, Gauff did not serve as well and she compensated that by being more aggressive than in the first. It resulted in more winners but also more mistakes as she did not have an easy time. Juvan played a lot better in the 2nd set but one bad point cost her the break.
By the midpoint of the set, Juvan had several break points but was not able to convert them. In the end, Gauff would close it out with another great game on the return where she simply overmatched Juvan with her deep returns.
