Australian tennis star
Nick Kyrgios’ potential return to tennis
has suffered another blow as he has been ruled out of the Canadian Open.
The 28-year-old has been on the sidelines for quite a while
because of fitness concerns.
As per the latest report, Kyrgios has now been ruled out of
the Canadian Open which has also cast doubts about his participation in the
fourth Grand Slam of the year which is set to be played in New York in less than
a month’s time.
The fitness concerns have halted Kyrgios’ growth which will
be extremely disappointing for the player who was having his best season at the
highest level last year.
The Canberra-born played in the final of Wimbledon 2022
where he was on the losing side against current world number two and 23-time
Grand Slam winner Serbia’s Novak Djokovic with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4, 7–6.
Not only that as he also played in the quarterfinal of the
US Open in 2022 where he was on the losing side to Karen Khachanov of Russia in
a five-set thriller with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7, 6-4.
