Novak
Djokovic posted photos with a new bearded look upon his arrival at the
Cincinnati Open.
The 23-time
Grand Slam champion arrived in the United States after a two-year absence due
to pandemic-related restrictions. After opting out of the Canadian Open due to
accumulated fatigue, Djokovic arrived in Cincinnati to kick off the US Open
Series.
Upon his
arrival in North America, 'Nole' shared photos that caught the attention of
fans due to his new beard. On social media, Djokovic's photo garnered numerous
comments from tennis fans.

The
official account of the Cincinnati Open Masters 1000 also shared images of
Djokovic training, where his beard is also visible, and fans shared their

Djokovic
will return to the court on Wednesday in his first match since his loss in the
Wimbledon final to Carlos Alcaraz. Djokovic will receive a bye in the first
round and will make his debut in the second round against the winner of the
match between Spanish player Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Argentine player
Tomas Etcheverry.
The Serbian
player won the Cincinnati title in 2018 and 2020 and has reached five finals
(08’, 09’, 11’, 12’, 15’).
Additionally,
Novak Djokovic's entry into the main draw of doubles in Cincinnati was a
surprise. The World No. 2 will team up with his compatriot Nikola Cacic and
they will make their debut against the doubles pair of Jaime Murray and Michael
Venus.
