Novak Djokovic had a brilliant 2021 season that almost ended up being historic yet while it didn't it was still one of his best ever.
Novak Djokovic had a brilliant year where he won 3 grand slams while playing in the final at the fourth. He lost to Medvedev but he was still able to retain his number one spot finishing the year as the best player in the world yet again. The crowning moment came at the ATP Finals where Djokovic received the trophy from ATP CEO Andrea Gaudenzi.
It was the 7th time that Djokovic finished the year as the best player in the world and that is a new record. Nobody did it before him and it's hard to see how anybody will to do it after him. It came only a few days after he won the Paris Masters against Medvedev in the final. To finish off the year Djokovic won another accolade with this one coming from the ITF.
Men's world number one Novak Djokovic has been named the 2021 ITF world champion for a record seventh time while women's number one Ash Barty has picked up her second crown, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) said on Thursday.
