Novak Djokovic will take part in the 2023 World Stars Football Match in Monaco which will see many celebrities play a friendly match against each other.
The event will be held leading up to the Monaco Grand Prix, a very popular F1 race that sees many celebrities flock to the Principality. Djokovic will be there as will Ferrari's top driver Charles Leclerc who will also take part in the match. Djokovic's team will feature the likes of World Champion Lisa Battaglia, Flavio Roma, Frederic Dehu, Claude Puel, Sébastien Perez, Greg Campi, and Valentin Liénard.
Leclerc's team will see him play alongside Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso, and Sebastien Frey. The organizers released a statement on the match:
“We want to thank the 285 members, the players, the celebrities, the public and the sponsors that have joined us over the years. Thanks to them and their help, we can continue our sporting and charitable events in order to raise funds and help disadvantaged children."
