The Forte Village Sardegna is coming to a close on Sunday with a strong final that will determine who will lift the title of a tournament that may never be played again.
The Forte Village Sardegna event was added to the provisional schedule and it may never return so tomorrows match is special even before it started. It will feature a native player in Marco Cecchinato and Laslo Djere. Cecchinato has played well all week overcoming adversity in several matches to find himself in the final. The native crowd supported him throughout and he will need their support tomorrow against Djere.
Djere has also performed very well in Sardinia this week dropping only one set yesterday against Musetti. He defeated several notable players en route to the final including countrymen Dusan Lajovic who many considered the favourite for this event. His job won't be easier tomorrow as Cecchinato is a proven player who loves to play on clay and facing an Italian on Italian soil is never easy.
The players know each other well as they played two times so far and both times on clay. Marco was more successful winning both matches without dropping a single set. Both matches have been played quite some times ago and since then Djere has improved dramatically. Still, Cecchinato is the favourite as he should be and he will look to give the native crowd reasons to be joyful. Match will start at 12:00 CET.
