Former player Nicolas Lapentti thinks Alcaraz could definitely do something similar as Nadal, Djokovic and Federer did but he would need to stay healthy
Health is crucial in any athlete's career and tennis is no exception. There were talented tennis players in the past but their injuries simply derailed their careers in incredible ways. One of the more modern examples is Juan Martin Del Potro whose career was very affected by injuries. For Alcaraz it will be crucial to avoid something like that and if he does he could do something special according to Lapentti.
He said:
"Everything will depend on his health. Will he be able to stay healthy for the next 15–18 years? We never know. Will he be able to stay mentally strong for the next 15 years? It's crazy, but we'll see. We'll have to talk about it again in ten years to see how it's doing."
He added;
"Alcaraz has it all, that's for sure. Be 19 years old and play at the level he plays. It's mainly in the head to play under this pressure and to be so efficient, it's great."
