The greatest of all time debate will never get old and as long as the three main candidates continue playing it will be discussed.
The latest to share his opinion on the matter is a former player and current coach Rick Macci who worked with many of the best players in history such as Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Andy Roddick, Maria Sharapova, and others. Macci knows tennis very well so his opinion on the matter largely focused on things related to tennis forgetting about the off-court stuff.
He said:
"Everybody loves Federer because of the way he plays, so graceful and artistic and stuff like that. [If] we judge it on how many Slams that you win you can’t argue with Djokovic. Because of the way his consistency and staying up there, and having very few speed bumps."
A fair point by Macci and one that is often brought up when discussing Djokovic as the GOAT. The Serbian will likely end up with the most grand slams in history which is something Nadal is expecting as well admitting so recently.
Macci also added:
"Why don’t we do this in a few years and you can ask me the question [again] because I think it’s still to be determined. It looks like Novak [Djokovic] right now. But Federer is maybe the best player of all time in my opinion, but Novak might go down as the greatest."
He finished off:
“But don’t count out Rafa [Nadal] either. I think maybe there’ll be a tie."
