Former world number one Roger Federer has revealed interesting details about how he is spending his retirement life.
The 42-year-old announced retirement from the sport in September last year after struggling with fitness concerns for a long time.
Federer was quoted in a report where he stated that he is now busy in taking care of his kids and he feels like a ‘professional driver and a logistical man’.
"Yeah, it's definitely a test [to spend life after retirement] on a complete another level," he said. "And then, I mean there's what's going on, I'm still in the gym actually I'm surprised I'm going to the gym.
"I always use to dread the moment of going to the gym so I do that like four or five times a week. Believe it or not. I don't look the part maybe. I'm a little bit heavier, Unfortunately. Well, I'm working on that right now."
"Yeah the days are long, but at the same time, I still feel I don't have enough time, you know? Because I packed my schedule up. "Four kids will do that to you as well. So I'm a professional driver nowadays, an organizer and a logistics man."
Federer is often termed as one of the greatest players in the men’s singles tennis history in the Open era.
The legendary tennis star ended his career after winning as many as 20 Grand Slams, third-most in the list behind only Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and Spain’s Rafael Nadal.
Federer became the first men’s singles player to win more than 14 Grand Slams in his career. Later, he also became the first to lift 20 major titles.
The Basel-born most successful competition has been Wimbledon where he ended up lifting the title eight times which is a record in the tournament’s history.
