Justine Henin was impressed by what
Daniil Medvedev was able to do last year but she still feels there is work to be done.
The Russian recently became world number one breaking the dominance of Djokovic, Federer, Nadal and Murray in the past 15 and more years. However, his work does not end there as Justine Henin pointed out a few things that he needs to work on in order to continue being worthy of the number one spot. Talking to Eurosport, she said:
"Daniil Medvedev already showed that he can handle a lot of pressure. I think he will have to continue working on managing his emotions because I think he leaves a lot of energy in these moments."
It's something Medvedev noted as well that sometimes his outburst actually help him but sometimes he loses a lot of energy on them leaving him a bit flat. Henin agrees and thinks at times it's helpful but in the long run it's not something that will work. She said:
"He will always have an explosive temperatment but if he wants to leave his mark on the circuit he will need to manage his emotions better."
