"I don't want to hear stuff like that during the match": Swiatek hopes 'bakery' chants stop after 22 bagels in 2022 alone

Iga Swiatek has made a habit of serving up bagels to people and in her most recent match in the Australian Open match fans made bakery chants which annoyed her.

Swiatek is a competitor and she likes to win. Sometimes those wins seem rather brutal like the double bagel a few years ago in Rome. It's not on purpose or targeted which is why she was annoyed when fans made bakery chants in her latest Australian Open match that featured a bagel. She 22 of those last year and while more will come in the future, she doesn't want any chants:

"I heard it when someone screamed about the bakery, but I don't want to hear stuff like that during the match."

She just wants fans to support her withouth making any remakrs to the other player.
