Andy Murray had to fight really hard to take down Pedro Cachin of Argentina at the Gijon Open and it took nearly three hours.
It was pretty evident early on that it was going to be a very long match as Murray and Cachin needed 56 minutes to play an 8-game set that finished in the favour of the Argentine 6-2. Murray played a lot better moving on with his serve being a crucial thing which he admitted after the match:
"I think I served well in the second and third sets. I fought very hard. In the first set, I wasn't playing my best and Pedro was serving very well for the first set and a half."
He continued:
"I was really struggling to break serve. I changed the way I was returning to give myself more opportunities to break. I fought very hard to come back from a break down twice in the third set."
He's in the quarterfinal and will face either Korda or Roberto Bautista Agut with either matchup being a very tough one.
