Andy Murray reached his first final in a while at the
Sydney Tennis Classic and after the final Murray got emotional talking about his family.
Andy Murray played a great event in Sydney reaching the final but in the final, he was overpowered by a very good Aslan Karatsev. The Russian won his 3rd career trophy and showcased good form heading into pivotal Australian Open week where he is defending the semifinal. For Murray, it was a good warm-up even before the Australian Open where he showcased a very good level.
Speaking during the trophy ceremony Murray remembered his family who is back home in the UK unable to travel with him due to the pandemic. Murray got very emotional during the speech receiving a very heartwarming reaction from the crowd. He said:
"I'd like to thank my family back home...I miss you all"
