Novak Djokovic and Marian Vajda are no longer working together and they haven't been working together since the ATP Finals.
The decision to part ways has only now become public when reports started circulating of the end of the relationship. Not long after that Djokovic confirmed it on his website with the duo releasing statements shortly after that. Vajda guided Djokovic to the majority of his success over the years and after ending the relationship, the Slovakian coach said:
“During my time with Novak, I have been lucky to watch him transform into the player that he is today. I will look back on our time together with immense pride and am so very thankful for the success we have achieved. I remain his biggest support on and off the court and look forward to new challenges.”
This is not the first time they are splitting as the duo paused their working partnership in 2017 but started working together at the end of that year once again. This seems however the final time they are parting ways as Goran Ivanisevic will take over the lead coach job for the Serbian.
