USA's
Sebastian Korda is enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 30 and now he aims to reach the top-20 before the season ends.
Korda is one of the most promising young tennis players on the tour showcasing a very good tennis level at a very young age. He already has a title to his name and a couple of good showings on several surfaces. He is able to play good tennis on all surfaces and he is projected to be a top 10 player one day. Speaking to Tennis TV, Korda detailed his goals for the rest of 2022:
"Yeah for sure the ranking is always very important but you know, if I am having fun and working hard then the ranking will follow which it has done so far and so I am very happy. I would love to be in the top 20 but there is a long way to go and a lot of tennis to be played”.
The biggest issue for the American is consistency as his game tends to go from brilliant to abysmal from week to week. He took down Alcaraz in Monte-Carlo only to lose to Taberner in Barcelona the next week. He played in the Estoril semifinal but disappointed in Madrid the following week. He needs to improve on that if he wants to achieve his goal.
