"I'm excited" - Brooksby on maiden ATP final in Atlanta

Jenson Brooksby will have a chance to win his maiden ATP trophy in Atlanta but he'll have to go through former champion de Minaur.

Jenson Brooksby has played a fabulous event so far and with last night's win over Frances Tiafoe, the American is in the Atlanta Open final. Brooksby never won an ATP trophy so the chance to do so, on native soil is a very exciting prospect.

He said:

"I think it will be a good, physical match tomorrow. I'm excited. It's the final, always really exciting for me."

The opponent will be a former champion of Atlanta Alex de Minaur who already won a couple of close matches. Asked to comment on the Tiafoe clash, Jenson added:

"I thought I stared out really strong today. I came out really fired up. I think I kept it up in the second, and then he started competing, and started playing better... I was a little nervous there [at the end of] the second set."
