Novak Djokovic hopes he can play the 2023
Australian Open after missing the event last year due to the vaccination fiasco.
There has been a change in the ruling party in Australia and early reports indicate that Djokovic will be able to return to Australia despite having no visa to enter the country as of now. Djokovic will need to see last year's decision overruled in order to play and despite reports, he's still waiting on official news:
"I'm waiting for the news. It's really not in my hands right now. I'm hoping I can get some positive news soon"
The Serbian also confirmed that he has no regrets regarding his choices and the consequences that happened because he was well aware of them when he made the decision:
"No, I don't have any regrets. I mean, I do feel sad that I wasn't
able to play, but, you know, that was a decision that I made. You know, I
knew what the consequences will be, so I accepted them. That's it."
