Alexander Zverev will contest the Open Sud de France final against Bublik on Sunday and he spoke about that after his win over Ymer.
It has been a very good weak for Zverev in Montpellier as the German rolled past most of his opponents en route to the final. In the final, it will be a battle of Alexanders as he will face Bublik against whom he will be favoured as well. After his win over Ymer Zverev said:
“I am in the final and I am happy about that. I played a pretty good match, I think I played one bad game in the whole match. Overall I am happy to be in another final, playing against Alex who I have known since I was 12 years old, so hopefully, it will be a fun match.”
They played once before in very similar conditions. It was in Rotterdam last year and Bublik was able to win that match 7-5 6-3. He will fancy his chances tomorrow as well as he has very little to lose. The Kazakhstani player never won a trophy before.
