Iga Swiatek is starting to hit peak form as she hopes to add another grand slam trophy at the Australian Open this year and she admitted to feeling great.
Her latest match was a 6-0 6-1 win over Bucsa as she's starting to look really strong again. Swiatek recently admitted doubt in her game and generally doesn't like to exude too much confidence. That changed after this Bucsa match when she admitted that she's feeling better and better and feeling very confident in her game:
"I feel I'm more and more confident since Day 1 here. I'm not even talking about matches, but also practices. I feel like I've done so much work to feel more confident, more relaxed on court. I'm pretty happy that I did it because it's just a little bit
easier. When you actually play those matches, you can feel the rhythm a
little bit more. I think that's the thing that I am most pleased with."
Next up is Elena Rybakina for her, the only active player that won a major besides Swiatek in 2022:
"[Rybakina] really is a solid player. Since we played juniors, I knew that she's kind of going in the right direction. With her serve, she can do a lot."
