"Is Rune the modern day Johnny Mac?": Shriver asks if Dane compares with John McEnroe

Former player Pam Shriver thinks that Holger Rune is the modern-day John McEnroe after his latest match featured quite a bit of controversy.

Holger Rune has had a few controversies already and it's not something you'd expect from a player that is fairly young. The Dane already clashed with several players and it seems like the relationship with Sinner isn't the greatest either. The duo shared a very cold handshake with Sinner barely looking at Rune.

It didn't matter much to Rune who didn't address it after much but praised the crowd and their energy even if they spent most of the time booing him. He rarely gets rattled on the court and he embraces and thrives in chaos. To Shriver, it looks very much like John McEnroe which is why asked on Twitter:
