Novak Djokovic is through to the quarterfinal of the Dubai Tennis Championship after defeating Karen Khachanov and the Serbian is cherishing every moment of it.
Djokovic was received very well by fans in Dubai who showed up in great numbers to watch his matches. It's something the Serbian won't forget easily as he explained after the match:
"I've missed it [playing on the ATP tour]. This is obviously my life and what I've known to do and keep on doing it for almost the last 20 years. Professional tennis is my love. I enjoy travelling, playing and hopefully bring some positive emotions and memories to people who come and watch."
He further said:
"Obviously playing in Dubai is always a thrill and a pleasure to come to a place where I've experienced some memorable moments. Winning it five times give me more motivation to come to this wonderful city and tournament."
Dubai might be the only event Djokovic will play in a while as the Serbian won't be able to attend Indian Wells and Miami without getting vaccinated. He previously stated he is unwilling to do so.
