The Miami Open has been forced into an early scheduling adjustment after confirming that its main Stadium Court will not be ready for match play on Wednesday, delaying several plans for the opening rounds of the tournament. Tournament officials indicated that further communication would be provided directly to affected ticket holders. “Due to heavy rainfall in the lead up to the tournament, limited areas of the Stadium Court required additional preparation to ensure optimal conditions for match play. All matches on Wednesday, March 18, will take place on the outer courts.”

The statement also provided a timeline for when the Stadium Court is expected to become operational, suggesting that the disruption will be limited to the opening day. “Fans with Stadium tickets for Sessions 3 and 4 will be contacted directly for next steps. The Stadium Court is expected to open for tournament play on Thursday, March 19.”
