Kokkinakis Kyrgios
Kokkinakis and Kyrgios started off well against top seed Koolhof and Skupski but the British-Dutch duo came back to win in three.
Kyrgios and Kokkinakis opted to play in Turin despite some saying that they would not take part in the event. They did although Kyrgios arrived only days before so they didn't have much practice time. None of that mattered early in the match as they put up a serving clinic to keep the top seeds away from many chances.
It was particularly striking in the tiebreak with Kyrgios and Kokkinakis dominating to take it 7-3. They didn't play as sharp moving forward with Koolhof and Skupski being near perfect on their own serve. Only three points dropped on their serve in the second set en route to a 6-4 finish. They got two break points and converted one to take it.
The match tiebreak was a landslide from the British/Dutch combination who jumped out to a 3-0 lead and after that, it was a rather comfortable journey. Kyrgios and Kokkinakis got deflated a bit towards the end and there was very little passion from them as they dropped it 10-5.
