Nick Kyrgios is not rushing to return to the courts after his knee surgery earlier this year opting to take it day by day and see what happens.
Kyrgios had to pull out of the Australian Open due to a knee injury that he suffered during the Australian summer. He underwent surgery and has been out of action since then opting to take it one day at a time instead of rushing back to play as soon as possible. It being clay season right now certainly makes that an easy decision for him and don't be surprised if he doesn't return until grass season.
On his future, Kyrgios said:
"Currently taking it day by day with my knee and building up load... Trying to get back to where I was."
His manager stated initially that his surgery was a success and he was working to get back at the Indian Wells Masters but those plans didn't come true. It's unclear whether there was some kind of setback or it's a really conservative rehab that will take a lot longer than expected.
