Kyrgios Miami 2
Nick Kyrgios produced some smashing results at the Sunshine double and Daniil Medvedev feels it's only the beginning.
Medvedev who had a solid outing in Miami as well is set to miss the entirety of the clay season due to a hernia that needs to be operated on. The Russian is unsure about the timetable of his return but it's unlikely he will rush to be back on clay. He also touched upon Kyrgos who according to him is still young with a lot of potential to make great results.
He said:
"I don’t consider Nick as an old guy. I think he is still young and as we see, he has a lot of potential to make some crazy results. Even better than he did before if he already did some good ones. I think it’s great”.
Medvedev was obviously referring to the demolition of his compatriot Rublev who got smashed by Kyrgios in epic fashion in Miami. It showed a very high level from Kyrgios who can certainly improve even further with consistent play.
The Australian will take a break after Houston and once again won't play the entire clay season. His return is expected for the Grass season in the summer.
