Jamie Murray and Bethanie Mattek-Sands are second finalists in mixed doubles at the 2020 Australian Open after victory Sharma & Smith.
The day number 12 in Melbourne started with first mixed doubles semifinal in Rod Laver Arena.
Krejcikova & Mektic secured their final spot and awaited the winner of the second semifinal match. There, 4-time Grand Slam mixed doubles champion
Bethanie Mattek-Sands and 5-time Grand Slam mixed doubles champion Jamie Murray faced home wild-cards Sharma & Smith.
The more experienced duo did not lose a match since the Wimbledon 2019. They were
the champions at the 2019 US Open and follow-up on a good form also in Melbourne. They lost a set only to Strycova & Melo in the first round. And later they defeated Ostapnko & Paes and Zheng & Vliegen.
In the semifinal match, it was a dominant ride for Mattek-Sands and Murray again. They defeated their opponents 6-3 and 7-6 and advanced into the final where they will be looking to adding 3rd title in mixed doubles together.
