New York Open Day 2 Schedule of play will feature 8 matches with Kevin Anderson headlining the field.
After a
very good day one that had a couple of upsets and several good matches the tennis world is excited what the
New York open will have in store for day 2. Day 2 will kick off with a bang as the first match the New York crowd will be able to see is between Karlovic and Thompson. Two players with a deadly serve will give the crowd a reason to enjoy a day filled with great tennis.
After that, we will see a match between Edmund and Uchiyama. The British player hasn't played great since breaking into the top 50 a couple of years ago. New York will give him a chance to change that. His opponent can be a tricky opponent as he posses that famous Japanese fighting spirit which can be tricky to overcome.
The only American on the courts will be 19-year old Brian Shi who received a wild card entry. It will be his debut on the ATP Tour and his opponent Norrie will look to take advantage of that.
The final match the New York crowd will see will be between 2018 champion Kevin Anderson and Jason Jung. The South African player finally returned to the tour and he will be looking for matches to get back into form. He loves to play here and he won before so this might be the perfect opportunity for that. On top of that, he needs those
valuable points to return to the top of tennis.
